I wonder is Ms Eerie Agte and her sidekick Maier would consider this to be answering their prayers?

Kimberly O'Rourke is an environmental scientist educated at SUNY Brockport NY and with a degree. I doubt anyone could find fault here, unless you are in the STCC group.

See Lizzie, the CC had the folks you were calling for all along, you just didn't look, or even want to! After all, they didn't sing the same tune as you, did they?

One has to look at all these folks working for the canal corporation people who have been belittled, scorned and generally made out to be the bad guys, by Agte, Maier and a few others in the STCC. Disgraceful!

Let's not bring up individuals by name please. After all we all know what they say...  "it takes a Community to raise a Dam Denialist".

And it really doesn't matter that some social media group opposes canal maintenance, now that the NYS canal Corporation has decided to move "full speed ahead" on their Public Safety improvement effort on "canal infrastructure".

I do believe we are seeing a change in the workforce dynamic at the NYS Canal Corporation. After being forced over past years, by prior ownerships, to "sit on their hands about canal safety", the Canal Corp employees are finally able to do their jobs WITH the wholesale support of their new management, New York Power Authority (NYPA).

NYPA is the first leadership to recogize the inherent danger of not doing proper inspections of the canal's embankments, and also the issues that might be raised trying to hide that danger from the public, the way past Canal Systems owners have done.

You see the change with communication across all social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.

You see the workforce talent being highlighted, maybe for the first time in NYS Canals, and new ideas for canal use are being created.

You see the new change when you talk to Canal Employees, in the office or on the Empire Trail. They are busy, and for the first time in a long time, excited about a brighter future.

And you also see a few canal corporation "old timers" leaving, maybe the NYSCC is losing some talent, but maybe just losing some "deadwood & anchors" to overall progress.

Time will tell...
