Even worse, it's elevated to "Civil War" levels with neighbor against neighbor, it's dividing friendships & families. That's what tends to happen when one group says "safety for all is needed" and another doesn't hear the message.
Worse yet, those who don't want to hear the message of Community Safety, are replacing it with anything possible to drown it out. Can't understand myself why the NYCC would LIE about public safety...can you?
Making our communities along the Erie Canal SAFER, should NOT be this difficult for the NY Canal Corp that is entrusted with that task. Putting MORE obstacles in the way of FIXING the problems of this aging waterway isn't just shameful, isn't just short-sighted...it's borders on dangerous & maybe catastrophic.
In the end safety WILL win, it always does... what the cost will be to Erie Canal Communities is still yet to be seen. If the present is any forecast of the future, there will be many casualties to count, including duped neighbors, hurt feelings & friendships that may never heal. Hopefully no one is swept away in a flood.
Great illustration...sadly Justice truly was BLIND here... to the TRUTH.
