This is a point that some people seem to miss.

And folks, it's not just about the fact we are paying too much...it'a also about the fact that we are paying for "poor" leadership in the Village system. When you compare salaries for the SAME types of services provided by the local TOWN. It's like day and night in many cases.




Go and read this posting showing other examples where local town government seems to be running much better than villages within those towns.

Exactly gentlemen, precisely why my wife and I wouldn't even consider moving into one of the villages. We would love to be closer to the canal and other amenities, but at what cost?

And you'd probably get suckered like I was. $4000 the first year, 11 years later almost $16000. No wonder retired folks on a fixed income have to leave their homes.
